HEATING iHEAT

With a great understanding of central heating systems our engineers always aim to provide the highest quality installations.

Whether you’re having a condensation combi boiler or a stand-alone boiler fitted, these systems can be connected to underfloor heating and/or standard radiators, which are all thermostatically controlled with either:

  • Thermostatic radiator valves
  • Standard room stat
  • Room stat controlled off your phone
  • Voice activated room stat

UNDERFLOOR HEATING

To get the most efficient operation from a heat pump it’s important that the outlet temperature is kept as low as possible, this lends itself to underfloor heating distribution systems.

With one of ours heating systems there is very little maintenance required to done. From time to time you might be required to bleed the air out the system and top it up. This is done just like any other standard heating system. These will be demonstrated to our customers in the commissioning process by our engineers.

Although our systems require minimal maintenance we can offer a annual service check on the heating system. This will also allow you to benefit from extended warranties for many of our installations.

If you would like to discuss a service plan please speak to a member of staff about it.

Benefits:

  • Even heat distribution across the house
  • No walls taken up by radiators
  • Each room controlled separately
  • Feet nice and warm when walked on tiles or hard flooring

HEATING SWIMMING POOLS

The most efficient way to heat your swimming pool is through a heat pump. The technology is much like an air conditioner, but in reverse. The heat pump requires electricity in order to achieve the required temperature, however they are able to exchange 1 unit of electricity to 4 units of heat due to their high efficiency.

The heat pump can be used as a standalone heating system for the pool, however savings will be increased even further when the heat pump is use in conjunction with solar thermal technology.

A swimming pool heat pump is also significantly less expensive than a household pump and will pay back very quickly if you are off gas grid. Whilst it probably isn’t worth switching to a heat pump from a natural gas boiler, if you are installing from new it is a very attractive option.

A typical pool sized 4.5 x 9 mtr Volume of water 64,000 requires 74kw energy per day. The heat required per season 10048 kw. Below shows the different in price for different type of fuel:

  • Heat Pump £375
  • Oil £880
  • Gas £530
  • Electric £1,630

Based on cost assumptions: Gas 4.5p kw/hr, Oil 70 per litre=6.6p kw/hr, heat pump -15p per kw/hr.

Gas Safe Engineers

iHeat Ltd are authorised members of Gas Safe (registration number 567190) and can provide a number of gas/heating services for both domestic and commercial clients.

From installing new gas boilers for domestic properties, to servicing and diagnosing faulty boilers to ensure your full gas central heating system works – we can do it all!

Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register, which replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britainin April 2009.

All of our plumbers are Gas Safe Registered – the legal requirement for working on any gas appliance.

Setting The Standard

All our service engineers are Gas Safe Registered and have a range of qualifications that allow them to carry out specific types of gas work. It’s important to check that any engineer working on your boiler is registered.

It’s all about safety. If someone other than a Gas Safe registered engineer does the gas work in your home, you could be risking the safety of your family and your property. Badly fitted and poorly serviced gas appliances can cause gas leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning.

Our gas engineers carry a Gas Safe Register ID card with their own unique licence number, showing the type of gas work they are qualified to do. Before any gas work is carried out.

GAS BOILERS

We understand that a safe and energy efficient home or work place is paramount.

Our gas safe accredited technicians are on hand to:

  • Repair or install gas appliances
  • Repair or install boiler and central heating systems
  • Upgrade your systems
  • Install extra or new radiators
  • Thermostatic radiator valves – allowing you to turn off individual radiators
  • Gas safe certificates
  • Landlord safety
